Rewarding good behaviour is an act of positive reinforcement and will encourage and motivate your child to continue with that behaviour. Let them colour in a square when they have done something good and write underneath what they did. You can reinforce that behaviour by going through their ‘good’ achievements at the end of the day.

For extra motivation let them aim towards something, like a privilege such as watching their favourite programme, a treat, a chance to spend 1 hour with just you, what ever you fancy really.

Just remember that positive reinforcements works much better than punishments for improving bad behaviour.
